Berwick is a small village at the foot of the South Downs in East Sussex. There is a post office, a station, a Church, two pubs, a zoo amongst other small enterprises.
Berwick Parish Council, formed on 4th December 1894, is the level of local government which is closest to the community it represents.
It is an elected body that consists of seven Councillors. If a vacancy occurs between elections it may hold an election, providing this is the wish of the electorate, or it can co-opt a member of the community. Elections are held every four years, the next Parish Council election will be held in May 2027.
